Dr. Moya is a board-certified orthopedic surgeon & sports medicine specialist in knee and shoulder arthroscopic surgery. He specifically specializes in anterior cruciate ligament tear surgery, meniscus or articular cartilage knee surgery, complex shoulder rotator cuff tear surgery, and shoulder instability as well as labral tear arthroscopic surgery.
Throughout his academic career, Dr. Moya completed his postdoctoral fellowship at Harvard University, receiving his medical degree from the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey (Robert Wood Johnson Medical School - Rutgers Medical School). He completed his orthopedic training at the University of Puerto Rico and holds both a Master's degree and a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Pharmacology from The Massachusetts College of Pharmacy.
Performing to a level of excellence, Dr. Moya is board-certified in orthopedic surgery by the American Board of Orthopedic Surgery (ABOS). The ABOS is an organization with the goal of establishing educational and professional standards for orthopedic residents and surgeons, as well as evaluating the qualifications and competence of orthopedic surgeons.
Dr. Moya is actively involved in community seminars and educational programs designed to help people understand joint pain and sports injuries.
